The first time I ever came across the writings of Ellen White, I was so impressed with her insights into the holy Scriptures, I sought to find her church location. Imagine my disappointment, when I found out she had written everything over 100 years ago! While I do not agree with all of her conclusions or theology, there is no doubt in my mind that Ellen was deeply Christ led.

Yes, so interesting.

I went to the library, yesterday, which I tend to do to have a peaceful environment for study, but before I went I so happened to click the page of Ellen White open.

I knew that was no coincidence and I understood what to do.

I finished the book about Smith Wigglesworth - The Secret of His Power, in one reading, such an amazing testimony.

I’ll follow that up in another post.

Anyway, I’ve started with Ellen G. White, Early Writings [https://www.ellenwhite.info/books/books-by-egw-ew.htm ] and I was amazed how accurate she describes the Great City and the Beautiful Heavenly Garden. I knew about her through Barbara O'Neill [see e.g. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL13eE2x3qhPnXM1_AucRocacfTTRVo0fn ] Ellen was a great inspiration to her. In a way, Barbare O’Neill carried on the legacy in terms of health.

I’m amazed how much work Ellen G. White has written and produced over the years, but then again, a Saint filled with the Holy Spirit, wow.

Anyway, point I wanted to make, I wasn’t ready yet to start reading Ellen White’s works, as I was not saved nor studied the Book of Revelation. Now, it all makes sense to me and wow, what a beautiful Saint she was. I’ll look forward reading her works. It is great to read her biography as well.

I’m blessed that the Holy Spirit is my Teacher and Guide and shows me everything I need to study and understand. I know I still got a long way ahead of me, but I’m fervently praying to be baptised now by the Holy Spirit.

Everything in God’s time and according to His will.

The way they have structured Ellen G. White’s works is very insightful.

Hopefully, one day, we can bring all your works under a similar structure.

Just keep flowing, and let the Holy Spirit do His works through you!

Have a lovely day, talk soon, much love, God bless!

I have read some of Ellen White’s writings. Much of it is inspiring and valuable. Unfortunately, there's parts as well, that contradict the Church Epistles, making it very important to know the Scriptures thoroughly, and be a spirit filled - spirit baptized saint - that can listen to the leadings/warnings of the holy spirit - before reading the many volumes some people have written. How much better to spend that sort of time in the Scriptures themselves. One of my sticking points with Ms. White, is the ‘preference for a Saturday Sabbath’. The Church epistles confirm what Jesus did in nullifying the observation of any religious day at all. I was only just reading this morning in John 5, where the Pharisees sought to kill him, for healing a man on the Sabbath - and the Lord’s answer was: ‘My Father works hitherto, so do I’.
